PerformColumbia.com Website Goes Live
Hudson, NY, May 4, 2009 – Less than one month after announcing their marketing plans, the Performing Arts Collective of Columbia County has launched the website www.performcolumbia.com for their members. This affiliate of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is comprised of 25 local performing arts organizations that are working together to advance the performing arts in Columbia County.

The website has information about the member organizations and links to their individual sites. The site also has a calendar of upcoming member events, pictures and links to businesses and other community resources. The website and logo were designed by Peter Blandori owner of Design Blandori, a member of the Chamber of Commerce. The branding strategy for PerformColumbia also includes a rack card that will be released soon and local and regional radio promotion.

In a presentation to the Board of Supervisors on April 8th, Collective spokesperson David Colby presented the results of an economic impact study of the collective membership. The study showed that the performing arts make an economic impact of greater than $8 million dollars each year on the local economy annually.

Collective member Laura Margolis of Stageworks/Hudson says of the website, “This unique collaborative effort makes it easy to find a variety of cultural offerings in our community.” Margolis adds, “The Collective is all about arts and commerce working together to bolster cultural tourism and providing programming that is vital to our community.”

Chamber President David Colby added, “The performing arts are a real business making a real difference in the economics and quality of life in Columbia County. The Chamber is happy to play a small role in advancing their synergistic efforts.”

The performing arts businesses in PerformColumbia produce theater, music, opera, film, circus, variety and more. See all that PerformColumbia has to offer at this website.
