SWEETGRASS

Time & Space Limited - 434 Columbia St. Hudson, NY 12534
5:30pm

A film by Ilisa Barbash and Lucien Castaing-Taylor (Made in China), Sweetgrass is an unsentimental elegy to the American West. Through its breathtaking sights we follow the last modern-day cowboys as they lead their flocks of sheep up into Montana’s stunning and often dangerous Absaroka-Beartooth mountains to find summer pasture. This astonishingly beautiful and unsparing film reveals a world in which nature and culture, animals and humans, and vulnerability and violence are intimately meshed together. A must-see – this movie got great reviews and is only showing in a few theaters across America! 2009. 101 minutes.
